Thankful!
I'm thankful to the Lord for so much. Most recently this little guy.
Gratitude is the bedrock of a happy life. G. K. Chesterton wrote: "I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder. " (Short History of England, chapter 6)
OG, blessings on you! Have a great time! I'll be with my parents and my brother's family. Making the traditional turkey. You're the one with neat recipes. Are you doing any specials? Just basic stuff here, except for the puppy. :-)
Hope you had a good one. I got a 16-pound brined turkey, so all it really took was a sage rub. And congrats on the new pup!Interesting housing you have for him....
OG, knowing you it was delicious and made everything else even better.
Max, yes, he was scared by a passing truck and decided to get up in the stadium seat I sometimes sit in when he's out exploring the front yard. I bought it at Costco and have not had a stadium experience to use it in yet. :-) You and OG make the best stuff.
Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteYoungest son and his lady are joining me for dinner. Good stuff!

ReplyDeleteThe crab salad was a little pricier than usual. A pound of Dungeness crab meat and half-pound of legs was just about sixty bucks.
ReplyDeleteBut delicious.
