I had lots of trouble getting my Nokia Lumia 635 Windows 8.1 lock screen to open. Trying to flick it up would result in the lock screen rising only about 1/2 inch and then droppping back down no matter how many times one tried to flick it up.
I tried turning the phone on and off. That sometimes worked, but not always. And it was time consuming.
Finally, I tried using the volume button (either up or down) and it opened the ringer/notification volume line which when pressed opened the upper third of the phone. From there you can flick the lock screen up and it will open.

Well there's your problem, right there: a Windows phone! I use Android. For one thing, I like being able to change out the battery and for another, I sorta like being able to actually use the phone ;-).
ReplyDeleteHeh! I've had problems with android tablets and thus shy away from Android. I have a strange phone life. I use an old non-smart phone with pay-as-you-go Virgin Mobile for phone calls and this which I got dirt cheap ($43 unlocked) for texting and data via a cheap but good (except for phone calls) service Ting which my nephew found for me. Basically it's for texting which I have found is the best communication device with my nieces, nephews and siblings other than actual in person.
ReplyDeleteHa! I use Android phones, currently through T-Mobile for unlimited everything (but you did get a dirt-cheap price on your Winders phone). I don't use tablets; just laptops and netbooks and the main server.
ReplyDeleteYou just use Android for phones?
ReplyDeleteYep. I use several versions of Windows and Chrome on computers. Android on my phone.
ReplyDeleteHave not had a computer with Chrome. But found that one of two tablets with Android became basically unusable when new versions came out. It would hang up. Funny that the first one I got is still stable. The second was cheap so not worthwhile to fuss with. But soured me on Android.
