Interesting perspective, but I suspect she's simply positioning herself as a champion for women as she calculates her 2016 run.
Positioning for sure. And distancing (with criticism in lower case) from Obama. But, interesting that she chose Sarah Palin has her point maker. Though Palin has spoken with admiration of Hillary's work in breaking the glass ceiling. I think the media shafted Hillary in order to get Obama elected (and wrote about it in some of my 2008 blog posts). Not that I agree with Hillary's political positions, but the double standard was manifest, and, of course, even more in Palin's case where it was real hatred not just simple bias.
Yes, the media's been pretty obvious in displaying actual hatred for Palin, which makes it, as you note, all the more interesting that Clinton choose her to make her point.
It seems there is no other candidate who can challenge Hillary as the Dem candidate. So, I'm thinking her positioning will all be to the center with the general election in mind.
You don't think Crazy Uncle Joe will go for it? That would be surprising.
Max, I think he (and others) will run but will have as much chance at winning as he did in 2008 if Hillary runs too.
