Palin: Who Could Have Seen This Coming?

Sarah Palin making political points at CPAC today and showing her way with words and ability to use humor better than any other current American political figure.

Especially fun, and drawing huge applause, was her reference to back in 2008 having predicted the current Russian invasion of Ukraine because of Obama's indecive and "flexible" foreign policy stances. At the time she was lampooned for even thinking of such a scenario by "serious" students of foreign policy like Blake Hounshell, managing editor of Foreign Policy magazine.

Wasn't it Crazy Uncle Joe who mentioned that our Resident would rather put more money into food stamps than the military?

With performances like this, it's easy to see why Palin makes heads explode on the Left.

Thanks for the hi def link to the whole speech, Max!

Did you see some guy at National Review thinks Palin is "well and truly retired from retail politics — a status reflected in the CPAC straw poll, in which Palin garnered only 2 percent of the vote."

I can imagine a version of him 35 years ago saying the same thing about Reagan--or Nixon 50 years ago (who himself thought he was done for in politics in 1962). Youth, having not seen lots of upsets, has no idea of the difference between the popularity of a candidate campaigning and that of a candidate not yet seriously engaged.

I didn't know if you'd seen the whole thing, TD, but I ran across it shortly after visiting here, so I thought I'd come back and take up a little more comment space. :-)

Well, on NR: she's not running, so how did he think she'd do? Yeesh.
